Cabins by Eco Hotel was the first Eco Hotel built in 2015. It started as a socio civic project with the aim of giving back to the local community. It was built to showcase how recyclables can be used to build a structure which used homemade bricks, sustainable wood used for the façade were all from old homes, and pinewood used for the beds are from sustainable farming. It was a challenge to build the most comfortable rooms in small spaces. The rooms were to emulate the cruise ship cabins, hence the name Cabins—with limited space for the bedrooms. Each room was designed to have a boxed bed that frames the huge window like a picture frame-some rooms with a view of Taal Lake, and a cabin sized bathroom.
Containers are designed to be almost indestructible. They use Corten steel which is very thick, strong, and durable. By installing proper wall and ceiling insulation plus a concrete roof deck at the top floor, combined with passive cooling and excellent cross ventilation, with the option of air-conditioning, our container rooms are very comfortable and cozy as any other luxurious hotel room. They are designed to be stacked-up until seven levels high without the need for additional structural supports. Once locked together, these containers are very stable and are proven to withstand even stormy voyages at sea. With additional structural supports, this container hotel being only 3 stories high is structurally sound and safe.
Tucked 30 minutes away from Lipa Exit, Villas by Eco Hotel Mataas Na Kahoy in Batangas welcomes guests to their luxurious lake view rooms, resting on a gently sloped hill. Commune with nature at our idyllic property, with an unobstructed view of the stars and cool night time temperatures, Villas is home to free- roaming animals and is a site where fireflies light up the night sky.
Once you arrive at the resort, you are welcomed with lush trees, singing birds and a pristine view of the Taal volcano and Mt. Maculot.
This is the premiere lakeside camping escape in Caliraya Lake for couples, and for bonding with family and friends. Combining our tiny houses made from container vans, our premier Lake House, hundreds of camping spaces, outdoor living and dining in the most natural setting amidst decades old trees, dragonflies and fireflies, and the beautiful, pristine Caliraya Lake.
Two and a half hours drive from Metro Manila, Kaliraya Surf Kamp was a Nudist lakeside colony patronized by German Tourists in the 80s (that is why “K”aliraya and “K”amp are spelled with a K). This was the first windsurfing destination in the Philippines.
Biologically rich and abundant in natural resources, the Philippines and her 7,107 islands is certainly a hub for ecotourism. At Eco Hotels, we preserve this richness and biodiversity as we promote ecotourism and responsible travel. We are one of the very few hotel chains in the country with a strong ecological conscience.
We are well-aware of the big issues of sustainability and try our best to do right, daily, by this fragile environment. From our commitment to the environment comes our mission to give you green travel at its most enjoyable.
